Limitless Survivor Updates & Patch Notes
Chronological Steam news from launch through stability patches in July 2026.
Tam Lab shipped Limitless Survivor on Steam July 24, 2026 and followed with rapid hotfixes through 1.0.05. This hub lists every documented change in chronological order so you can reconcile forum advice, demo footage, and your current save. When a patch touches prestige timing, Artifact farming, or controls, jump to the linked guide rather than guessing from memory.
Wiki pages assume the latest Steam build unless a section notes historical balance. Demo players especially should re-read Demo vs Full — demo saves do not transfer, and launch balance differs from pre-release builds in several important ways.
Pre-launch quality-of-life (Steam news)
Before and around launch, Tam Lab published several player-facing fixes that still matter in live saves:
- Prestige notification when you hold enough Yellow Crystals to buy the next tier — see How to Prestige.
- Unidentified Artifacts save on pickup, so crashes or menu exits are less punishing during appraisal flows.
- Maximum 20 Artifact effect renders on screen and maximum 150 dropped Artifacts in a dungeon at once — performance caps detailed in Artifacts.
- Skip Artifact Appraisal animations option for faster farming loops.
- Crystal display fix and edge drops repositioned so loot sits inside practical pickup paths.
These changes sit alongside the full-game content expansion documented below.
July 24, 2026 — Full launch vs demo
The paid release is not a reskin of the demo. Tam Lab’s launch news highlights:
- Six weapons in the full game (demo offered fewer) — overview in Weapons.
- Many new enemies and bosses across expanded floor bands.
- Many achievements gating weapons, skills, and meta goals — Achievements.
- Eight Normal floors, eight Hard floors, and unlimited Extra floors for long-run scaling — Floors and Bosses.
- Affixes more likely to roll special effects on dropped gear.
- Artifact effects strengthened, but base Artifact drop rates reduced compared to late demo tuning.
- Removed the system that reduced Artifact drop rates based on how many you already owned — a major change for late-game drip; read How to Farm Artifacts.
- Reduced Prestige Artifact drop bonus relative to demo expectations — prestige still matters, but the spike is smaller; use Prestige Planner.
- Skills rebalanced around Artifact upgrade pacing.
- Attack Count capped — overflow converts into an Attack Power multiplier instead of infinite projectile spam. Build around the cap via Best Builds and Affix Priority.
If your demo muscle memory says “stack Attack Count forever,” update that mental model before pushing Hard or Extra floors.
Version 1.0.01
Patch 1.0.01 fixed Artifact text position on the results screen in some languages. Gameplay numbers unchanged — relevant mainly for readability after long AFK blocks when you skim results quickly.
Version 1.0.02 — economy correction
Launch week patch 1.0.02 responded to pacing feedback:
- Artifact drop rate increased ~67% over launch-day values.
- Yellow Crystal drop rate doubled on all floors where Yellow drops apply.
- Yellow Crystals confirmed from Normal Floor 7+ (see Yellow Crystals).
- Fixed a bug where Yellow Crystals rarely dropped on Floor 4 when they should not appear at all.
This patch redefined early prestige ROI. Guides written before 1.0.02 understate mid-game income.
Version 1.0.03 — Controls Improvement (bulk stat upgrade)
1.0.03 is labeled Controls Improvement, but the headline feature for incremental players is bulk stat enhancement:
- Keyboard: hold Ctrl while upgrading a stat to instantly max it with owned standard Crystals.
- Controller: hold RB for the same behavior.
After Prestige, when you need to reinvest pickup range, Time Limit, and HP across dozens of clicks, bulk upgrade saves real time. Full workflow: Bulk Stat Upgrade and Stat Planner.
Movement responsiveness also improved after floaty-input reviews — context in Keyboard and Mouse and Controller.
July 25, 2026 — Crash notice
Tam Lab acknowledged crashes during extended play and reports of progress loss. If you AFK overnight, read Crash and Stability before leaving sessions unattended.
Version 1.0.04 — VFX removal and achievement fixes
1.0.04 took aggressive stability steps:
- Temporary removal of VFX including title effects, defeat effects, hit effects, enemy defeat effects, chest/Artifact drop effects, and Prestige effects — intended to mitigate memory leaks linked to long sessions.
- Steam achievement unlock fixes for: Just Warming Up, Only the Beginning, The End…?, Limit Breaker (Results screen timing); A Fresh Start, Here We Go Again! (next Prestige); Filthy Rich! (Results); Is That Everything?, Maxed Out! (Home screen); Signature Move, Hit the Motherlode!, Loot Goblin, Fifty-Fifty, plus two hidden achievements — re-meet requirements if you earned them during broken builds. Details: Achievements.
Visual flair is reduced until VFX return safely; farming efficiency is unchanged.
Version 1.0.05 — Unity engine update
1.0.05 upgraded the project to Unity 6000.3 series targeting stability and extended-session crashes. Tam Lab noted fixes are not fully confirmed — treat long AFK as higher risk until you verify locally. Pair with Performance Tips and Auto-Play Guide.
